Like peppermintjam had mentioned before, just stick with a vanishing point and the illust will be okay! Of course, to make your piece even more dynamic, you can always try a two point perspective.

For a first stab at perspective and backgrounds this is pretty darn good!!! The only nit-pick I might point out is that the perspective lines of the walls don't quite match up with the tables and the tiles. All of the objects in the room look really real, but if you keep a constant vanishing point then it'll enhance it more!
BUT--XD You don't have to listen to me/everything else about this picture is gorgeous. When I saw the thumbnail I just had to know who drew it! And when I saw that you drew it I smiled. : )
